What file system do you recommend to use on USB Disk(for security, safe data) i can believe that i won´t loose my data? And what file system on disk conataining linux installation?
I heard that XFS is great but data can be lost. |

None of the filesystems in the kernel is 100 % safe. You should consider a journaling fs like etx3/4, reiserfs or XFS. This reduces the chances to lose data. ext4 looks pretty good but isn't absolutely stable in my opinion and i won't use it in production. USB disks are wear-levelers nowadays, so don't worry about the filesystem, just use ext3 or jfs or something else with a journal. _________________ Don't believe the "n00b" under my name. |
