i'm seeking good notebook pc,but i'm having troubles to choose correct one so here's few questions that comes to my mind.
1. what notebooks are supported/work on gentoo,manufacturers???
2. Any pre-installed notebooks available that comes with linux(gentoo preferred).
any links to online store or manufacturers website with "good" info about the notebook would be great.
also online store must deliver to Finland
edit:crap,i posted to wrong section maybe admin could move this to Hardware & Laptops?? |

Have you checked Computers with Gentoo Linux Pre-Installed?
I'm not sure whether they ship to Finland or not (and my brain is a bit fried at the moment to check) however just looking at the specs of those notebooks would be very useful since you can just get a notebook in Finland with same specs and know that Gentoo will work on it. _________________ warning: `class GroveImpl' only defines a private destructor and has no friends. |

yes i have checked it.
Qli doesnt ship to Finland, didn't contact their sales person if they would make special exception, but i dont think they will.
also about the Qli i dont know what chipset,etc.. their use so i cant buy "same" notebook from here.
Vg does have great notebooks but i'm afraid they only ship to Australia
at first i'm looking for pre-installed linux system but if i cant get one, then i just have to buy that "should" work and install it my self. |

Please search before you post. The Hardware & Laptops forum is full of good advice for supported notebook PCs. |
