Release: 2.6.25-dark1
Patchset produced by: predatorfreak
Comments: Move to 2.6.25, drop swap prefetch (upstream broke it too much and I simply do not have the time to maintain it), remove patches
which where merged upstream.
Build and boot-test certified: Built with a custom config, booted on my system, seems to run fine.
Additional Information: To adjust the CFS granularity, use sysctl kernel.sched_granularity_ns = VAL, where VAL is the proper value.
In order to adjust CFS granularity, you need to enable Kernel hacking -> Kernel debbuging -> Collect scheduler debugging info.
Realtime LSM can be controlled through sysctl kernel.rt_any (if set to 1, any process can become realtime, unrestricted), sysctl kernel.rt_gid
(when set to a valid group ID number, any programs run in that group or by a user in that group can become realtime) and sysctl kernel.rt_mlock
(when set to 1, programs affected by the previous two options can utilise mlock).
Patch list:
ck/mm-lots_watermark.diff
ck/mm-kswapd_inherit_prio-1.patch
ck/mm-prio_dependant_scan-2.patch
ck/mm-background_scan-2.patch
ck/kconfig-expose_vmsplit_option.patch

It's powertop-2.6.25, not 24 |

Do you mean that swap prefetching is buggy on 2.6.25 or that it just doesn't apply cleanly?
If it's the latter, there is a working patch in zen-sources. |

It doesn't apply cleanly not to mention it has build issues. I do not have the time to extract a working version from their git tree nor do I care enough to bother. I don't use swap prefetch here, I have 2GB of RAM and have never hit swap. _________________ System: predatorbox

Can this patch be applied to gentoo-sources? |

Indeed! It actually works very well. I am now back at using custom kernel sources.
Thanks! |
