Hi all. This is maybe just a temporary problem, but
I installed kernel gentoo-sources 2.6.25-r1. No problem
compiling and no problem compiling nvidia video driver
(169.12) for this kernel. Everything seemed to work
just fine.
But then I enabled latencytop stuff in the kernel. After a
reboot, X froze when I started compiz.
That was the only change.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this ...
(any links to a tutorial on how to use latencytop to
actually find problems and fix them would be great
too ) _________________ .... there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth
