|
|
I've sent several pages to a wrong printer (from openoffice), and I can not seems to cancel the print job.
I've removed the print jobs via KDE
I've canceled all job via "http://localhost:631/" and it doesn't work.
When I start the printer (PHIIIP) it tries to print the pages
How to get rid of those print jobs?
"lpq -a" is not showing any entires.

Probably either the printer itself has the jobs queued internally, or they're present in a buffer waiting to be sent to the printer. If you clear the jobs on the computer, restart the cups service, then reset the printer, it should take care of all the possibilities. |

That PHIIIP is 17-years old I don't think it hold any queued job especially that I power it OFF.
Restarting the cups is a good idea.
Thanks. |

Yeah, I've used an old panasonic laser printer that would take 5 minutes to send a page of graphics (no kidding), so if I didn't clear out a partial job, I'd get pages upon pages of garbage. |
