Ciao.
Ho installato sul mio sistema Wicd come gestore di rete.
Mi trovo benissimo e funziona sia la rete wireless che quella wired...
Al boot però mi viene dato un messaggio fastidioso: | Code: | | WARNING: /etc/init.d/net.eth0 missing; Skipping |
E non c'è per forza: l'ho eliminato io perchè così diceva di fare una guida letta su una rivista.
Ma eth0, wicd la fà funzionare benissimo...
Come faccio ad eliminare questo messaggio?

semplicemente rimetti a posto il link net.eth0.
Per wicd (come per networkmanager) è sufficiente fare in modo che le ethx non vengano fatte partire all'avvio, se cerchi nel forum o nel wiki ci dev'essere spiegato come fare.

Senza rimettere a posto il link net.eth0, è bastato toglierlo dal runlevel default: | Code: | | rc-update del net.eth0 default |
Un'alternativa sarebbe editare /etc/conf.d/rc, indicando di non far partire l'interfaccia di rete al boot: | Code: | | RC_PLUG_SERVICES="!net.eth0" |
Appena ho a portata di mano un collegamento wired faccio una prova per vedere se funziona ancora...
Il messaggio al boot comunque è sparito, grazie mille!
