squirrelmail andf mail fetch plugin

Im running squirrelmail on my new gentoo server and Im having trouble using the mail fetch plugin, I seem to be able to receive a few emails (17-1

and then I get an error which says:-

Delete failed:POP3 delete: Command failed []
Fetching message 19
Oops, POP3 get: Error []

I am now stuck, I have tried looking at the logs, but can see nothing.. just this error..
PLZ HLP!!!
