Hi,
I was wondering if anybody would know which sort of internet connections will work from the LiveCD's if Gentoo Linux 1.4 will be released on August the 5th? The connection that I'm actually hoping for is the proprietary Microsoft protocol "Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol", PPTP...
http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/ seems a good website to start from, unfortunately I don't have the time nor the knowledge to provide software to include on the liveCD.
The work that would go into this to put onto the liveCD could of course also be used for the gameCD's ... (another thing I'm hoping for)
Hoping on a positive answer,
cobnet
BTW: If Gentoo Linux 1.4 would support PPTP (or more general: vpn) out of the box, could that be included in the next GWN? I think that some other people might also be interested in this... |

Actually (I never even used a gentoo liveCD so no offence to the developers) the 1.4 release is "coming now!" since at least 3 - 4 months, so I don't think they would include anything new if they plan to release on the 5th. Of couse I agree with that politic _________________ I am Beta, don't expect correct behaviour from me.
