hello, id like recommendations for a script or software that will give me regular rdiff backups or rsync backups to an external usb drive automatically, but also automatically deltee old backups once the drive is low on space. im working with http://gentoo-wiki.com/Simple_snapshot_style_backup but dont think it will delete old backups, and im afraid if i delete old ones by hand it may mess up all the hard links some how. i tried flyback as it says it can automatilcy delete old backups, but i configured it to do so when the external drive was down to 1 GB and it didnt, it just filled up my drive and gave drive full errors after that. Also i randomly change distros, im on ubuntu now but also frequent arch and gentoo depending on my mood. any help would be great _________________ tcotu.net Taking back our freedoms for good! |
