|
|
A line in my /var/log/messages file says:
ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with idebus=xx
I have ATA100 drives on this machine, and my mobo is an A7N8X. Is this hindering my drive performance? Is there a recommended setting to changes this to for ATA100 drives?
So far I have been successfull at getting everything installed, right now Im just trying to button things up. |

The IDEbus setting is the PCI bus speed. So unless you have a PCI-66 controller card then 33 is correct |
