I have sucessfully installed Gentoo-ppc_rc4 on a PoerMac 8600/250. This has two SCSI drives one (80MB) with a minimal MacOS9 for booting and a second drive (4.3GB) formatted for Linux. When booting from the live CD I can sucessfully mount the MacOS9 partition (Which is HFSplus) and write vmlinux to the system folder. However I am unable to do this with my compiled kernel as it only appears to support type hfs, leading to a "Where_have_all_my_files_gone?" when using ls
I have checked the kernel config and have included Mac partition types and filesystems, what am I missing? _________________ --

Upgrade to the latest unmasked ppc-sources kernel. This one has hfs+ support in it. Then mount the other partition as hfsplus. _________________ Glutton for punishment... gentoo on i386, sparc and powerpc |
