| Hello, as i now see the new version of gentoo is already in Beta 2 state, and my question is: Is it possible to install Gentoo 2007.0 now and to upgrade to 2008.0 later when it's final ? and how can i do that ? |

Gentoo is effectively versionless so whether you use the 2007.0 or 2008.0 install media as soon as you

emerge --sync
emerge -DuNav world
|
then you will be up to date
You may want to use the 2008.0beta2 stages though, as there have been several major upgrades which could make upgrading slightly problematical, namely expat.
Also you can use eselect to select which profile to use.

eselect profile list

will give a list of available profiles
and

eselect profile set <number of profile you want to use>
|
will select the profile to use
