|

I cannot seem to get a ${HOME}/.maildir that works properly. Here is what I've got:
postfix 2.0.9
from my /etc/postfix/
Code: | home_mailbox = .maildir/ |
mutt 1.5.4i with imap support
from /etc/mutt/
Code: | set mbox_type=Maildir
set folder=~/.maildir
set spoolfile=~/.maildir/
set record=~/.maildir-sent/
unset mbox
set move=no |
from ${HOME}/.muttrc
Code: | set spoolfile=imaps://localhost/INBOX
set folder=imaps://localhost/ |
Code: | $ rm -rf .maildir
$ maildirmake .maildir
$ maildirmake -f received .maildir
$ mutt |
I have directories "Trash" and "recieved"
remove set spoolfile and set folder lines from ${HOME}/.muttrc (use defaults from /etc/mutt/Muttrc).
$mutt
I have directories "courierimapuiddb", "cur", "new", and "temp".
Why don't I see the same things as from imap? Is there a way to get the to be the same? |

It is not clear to me what you are trying to do. If you only access mail reomtely on an IMAP server, then your local .maildir is not relevent. If you are also popping mail from somewhere, then it makes sense.
That being said, you can only have one spoolfile and folder setting. Your .muttrc settings will override /etc/Muttrc.
I use IMAP primarily, but also POP mail from my private ISP. My setup is probably identical to yours. Give me a better idea of what your situation is and we can probably get you set up.
