I've set up postfix and I love it. Only problem I am having is that I tested telnet'ing to it (on localhost from a valid account) and I can set any From address and have it come out in the final email. Example result email:
--------------
Return-Path: lol@notreal.com
X-Original-To: test@realdomain.com
Delivered-To: test@realdomain.com
Received: from realdomain.com (localhost [127.0.0.1])
by realdomain.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 50E4F3F52A
for <test@realdomain.com>; Sat, 24 May 2008 23:01:57 -0700 (PDT)

From: lol@notreal.com
To: undisclosed-recipients: ;
LOL?
-------------
In the header it shows that it came from my real server. But it does not show which user sent it, and the From is a complete lie. Is there any way to enforce that which account sends the email is enforced as the Return-Path and From? |
