Airsnort and ipw2200 does not see any traffic

I have installed Airsnort and am running it as root, and I am aware that I have to set the interface to monitoring/promiscuous mode myself.

Did this by making sure the interface was up in ifconfig and then issuing "iwconfig eth1 mode monitor", but still does not gather any traffic. I have tried both "Scan" and manually selecting channels.

There certainly are wlan stations around here since Kismet has no problems seeing it.

I have not installed airsnort myself. But did you check out airsnort official web site? There are some requirement info there.
