You probably have a network card not supported by the livecd... please give the output of lspci.
Consider installing from sysresccd.

Or you could try the 2007 LiveCD or DVD. They both do great manual installs (as evidenced by this message).
Blessed be!

The SystemRescueCD will 9 times out of 10 support all your driver needs. I tried it the other day installing on my laptop and _everything_ was recognized. You may want to consider this as it's only ~120mb CD. _________________

Does the networking and everything else work? If so, when the LiveCD boots, enter gentoo nox, and do a manual install using the Handbook.
GUI installers for Gentoo are notorious for being buggy. I'd really recommend you do a manual install. It's much more likely to finish successfully than a GUI install. That's my experience.
Blessed be!

This card should be supported by the via-rhine driver. _________________ Jorge.

Maliwik: I boot sysrccd, Slax 6 and network doesnt work in it, but when I tried slax 4 months ago it worked. (Maybe problem is in global warming or in changing seasons . )
pappy_mcfae:I want to install Gentoo manual, not through GUI, it's inly bonus.
jmbsvicetto: So think I.
And sorry for my English, it ist't very well |
