Ok so ive gotten behind on updating two of my computers. I need to update my laptop and server kernel version.
Laptop is currently running: 2.6.23-gentoo-r5 SMP
Server is currently running: 2.6.18-gentoo SMP Preemp
Both latest is 2.6.25-r4
I also want to add in the FUSE library and all on my laptop.
My question: Is there anything i need to look out for? Things i should make sure i add in? Do differently? Not go straight to 2.6.25-r4? Things that could break? Etc etc....

The only way to decide is to try it.
As for whether or not you'll have a problem, that's impossible to decide before you try it.
So give it a try, if you encounter any problems then post the error message and whatnot, and I'm sure a few people will be able to assist you. |

Yeah i figured thats the response i would get. Just wanted to see if there was any known issues i might run into. I will definitely post back if i have problems. Thanks!
