The live CD loads up fine until right when it starts to load the desktop, the X server fails to load up. It says to configure to the right settings. What do I do?
Thanks |

You can configure the X-server with:

You could also specify nox on the boot line, which will prevent the system from automatically starting the X server at all. You can then install from the console or use the console to manually configure the X server. If you are unsure how to configure your X server, please post as much detail as you can about your setup. At a minimum, we need to know what type of video card you have and what monitor(s) you are using. If you can, please post the output of lspci -vvvv, which will give us very detailed information about all the PCI devices on the system. |
