|
|
I'm embarrassed to ask, but I've been at this for what seems like ages, so here goes:
I installed Gentoo on SPARC for this first time this past weekend and after the install SILO does not find the kernel at the path I entered. Apparently I fat-fingered it.
I installed from the .iso named install-sparc64-universal-2007.0.iso stamped Monday, June 02, 2008, 2:42:50 PM.
What should my SILO kernel path be? /boot/gottabesomethingobvious.
Thanks in advance! |

Do you have a kernel image in /boot ?
I suppose you should manually copy linux image to /boot after compilation and write properly path in silo.conf.
It is written in handbook.
I am new here too, I have done it and it works! |
