2008.0 parameters

I tried to install 2008.0 beta2 and when its loading everything in the beginning it freezes at ata_piix
This happens in 2007 also but i boot gentoo irqpoll and it works
i tried adding irqpoll to this one but it doesn't work but im not sure if im doing it right

with 2007 you just type gentoo and your parameters
you can't do exactly that with 2008
if i edit gentoo it has one long string of commands followed by a shorter one
i added irqpoll to the end of that and it didn't so i tried the other like and still the same thing
am i using kernel parameters properly?

the install guide says to run gentoo dopcmcia making it look like thats the way you start installing but it's not

It is still beta.
I recommend sysrescuecd.

To install Gentoo I use sysrescuecd.Based on Gentoo,has firefox to browse Gentoo docs and mc to browse (and edit) files.
The same disk can be used for 32 and 64 bit installs.
