I want to use my laptop as a wireless router and to access the internet. I'm not sure if this is possible... I know it's possible to use it as a wifi router but not sure if I can still use it normally to surf the web and stuff. My bro has a DS and was wondering if I could create a WEP network. Our router is setup with WPA2 and the DS doesn't have the hw to support that, or so I've heard. Running latest Gentoo with 2.6.25-r4 kernel on a Intel Pro Wireless 3945 ABG (iwl3945). Not sure if my card is even capable of this... |

Your network card support the WPA2 CCMP Encryption, and if you want to use a WEP encryption, then go for it.
I suggest that you use a router to make your personnal network. |
