Hi all,

I just put a promise Ultra100 TX2 in my old P2 Celeron 400MHz system. But I cannot get udma5 working, only udma2.
Code:
hdparm -X udma5 /dev/hdg

/dev/hdg:
setting xfermode to 69 (UltraDMA mode5)

dmesg returns:
Code:
ide3: Speed warnings UDMA 3/4/5 is not functional.

I also tried setting kernel parameter idebus=6, but it didn't changed anything. :(

I am using ck sources 2.4.20, iss it possible that the kernel driver do not support umda 3 to 5 ?

Any solutions?

Best regards,
Magnus

Are you using the drivers for the Promise Controller or just a generic driver.
