My Desktop Environment is Fluxbox, but I use some KDE apps like Amarok and I'd like to change fonts. Changes with qtconfig doesn't apply to Amarok. In Slackware I used to simply install Konqueror. In Gentoo it's a bit more painful ;-) and I'd like to avoid installing Konqueror. So, how to change KDE apps fonts in other way?

PS. Changing fonts directly in Amarok doesn't apply to whole interface.

Run kcontrol from command line. This is KDE Control Center where you should be able to configure fonts under "Appearance & Themes". I'm assuming this is KDE 3.5.x that we are talking about and that you have some core KDE apps installed. Another option is to edit the kdeglobals text file directly. This file should be located in your .kde/share/config directory.

I've got just kdelibs and its dependencies. Nothing more. No kcontrol. Could you give me a sample kdeglobals file (part with font entries), please? :-)

Here's my .kde/share/config/kdeglobals

Code:

...
[General]
BrowserApplication[$e]=!firefox
XftAntialias=true
XftHintStyle=hintmedium
XftSubPixel=none
alternateBackground=238,246,255
background=239,239,239
buttonBackground=221,223,228
buttonForeground=0,0,0
fixed=Courier New,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
font=Utopia,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
foreground=0,0,0
linkColor=0,0,238
menuFont=Utopia,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
selectBackground=103,141,178
selectForeground=255,255,255
shadeSortColumn=true
taskbarFont=Utopia,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
toolBarFont=Utopia,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0
visitedLinkColor=82,24,139
widgetStyle=plastik
windowBackground=255,255,255
windowForeground=0,0,0

[Global Shortcuts]
...

There are more options but I have most of the fonts set to Utopia so they don't all show up.
