Hi i'm a noob i just finish emerging kde and followed the dirrection but when i log in. The desktop is an ugly XDM interface. i don't know how to get that beautiful kde environment to work can someone help please

when u r on the terminal type kdm as root or edit the /etc/rc.conf
file .
did u read http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/desktop.xml .

yea i tried that and now it will automaticly boot into xdm instead of kdm and i'm stuck in xdm
