Just to make sure I'm on the right track I want to ask some questions about my network before I try to finish setting it up.

My setup:
IPcop hardware firewall box
Linksys 4 port router
Gentoo laptop with Apache2 installed and a desktop with Gentoo also installed.

First I should assign static IP's to my laptop server and the desktop.
then make the routes in the configure routes section in the linksys router.

In the Linksys router settings I have it's own assigned ip address 192.168.2.100 but my Ipcop firewall box is acting as a DHCP server sending out anything between 192.168.1.11-15. Is this ok?
And will I need to change it so that my Linksys router IP and MAC is configured as a "fixed" route in the Ipcop dhcp settings.

Also, if I already have dhcp enabled on both my laptop and desktop. What do I need to do to disable dhcp? Just edit /etc/conf.d/net? with static route entries and that takes care it?

Scratched all that and started anew with smoothwall from scratch. Only problem is the "orange" network doesn't seem to work for the server. I can't access the web from it. But everything else works fine and it acts as it should (being invisible to the green network).. It seems to function as it should otherwise. Any ideas as to why possibly? All other questions got answered by playing with this literally all night.

Actually it sort of comes on and off for short spurts. I'm running apache on it and can't even get the welcome screen to come up yet.
