Not sure if this should be here or under amd64 thread cause I am installing amd64 on my laptop.
Anyway, here's the problem. When I run I get an error saying there is no such file, but the folders are visible if I I use auto-complete?
This is on a JFS file system on a 64bit system. Also I used the 2008.0_beta cd but the 2007.0 stage 3 tar.

After restarting the machine the problem went away, and thus I could not check the dmesg output. Do you have any theories on what it might have been? |

You probably updated coreutils, which changed the location of the ls command, so your shell (bash most likely) couldn't find it. After rebooting, your shell is initialized again and can find ls at the new location. _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln
