Hi ..
I finished downloading livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0 >> include the 4 files:
1-livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0.iso.
2-livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0.iso.CONTENTS.
3-livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0.iso.DIGESTS.
4-livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0. winrar file
>> then I burned it on DVD-R. and I reboot the Laptop from cd drive . but the computer show this massage(No bootable devices -- strike F1 to retry boot , F2 for setup utility
Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics ).
so what is problem ? (from the cd or the computer or from me ?? )
NOTICE :: my computer is
(( DELL INSPIRON . processor Intel core duo CPU 1.86GHz. phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS version 1.10A14 .Ram 4G . system Win Xp pro )) |

Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics ). | What do you mean by burned it? burned those four files on a dvd, or did you select the iso-file as image to be burned? If you did the former, you just wasted a empty dvd, if you did the latter, then - from your descriton - the image might be bad. check the image with md5sum of sha1sum.

Yes I burned the 4 files on dvd by nero .
but I don't understand what you mean with ( or did you select the iso-file as image to be burned?)
If you can tell me I will so grateful for you . |

The file that ends with ".iso" is a CD/DVD image file.
Nero has a special mode for burning images (take a look in the menus).
This is different from burning a data CD/DVD. |

thank you cyrillic .. I found that option in nero ..
but the other 3 file I download it with iso file also burn it on DVD or what ??
plzz anybody answer me ..
file is :
1-livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0.iso. << not the iso one its ((anonymous)).
2-livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0.iso.CONTENTS.
3-livedvd-i686-installer-2007.0.iso.DIGESTS. |

The iso file needs to burned to a CD/DVD _as an image_, not as a file.
The iso.CONTENTS and iso.DIGEST are what their names imply, the
contents lists and digest for the main iso. I shouldn't burn them to
anything; just use them to check the .iso if you need to.
