when i tried to emerge x11-plugins/compiz-plugins-freewins-9999 from desktop effects i get this error:

I also couldn't get Compiz Fusion to run with x11-wm/compiz-9999 [0.7.6].
Any suggestions on these two problemos? |

You didn't post the actual error for freewins  Look for a GCC error - heck, you might want to pastebin the entire build log. |

Have you run revdep-rebuild lately? It's in gentoolkit and it's worth a shot if things don't work well.

it works fine for me, got it through desktop-effects overlay
except it can move my conky around which i dont like |
