While installing my scanner I created a scanner group and it got the guid 1101 which I think is not correct as system guids shoul be below 1000. Now I want to change this but can't find any standard that defines the guids for the various groups. Googling for "guid standard" brought up nothing.

Where can this documentation be found?

Why do you think there's a standard for GIDs? There is no need for one and it doesn't matter at all what numeric value a GID has.

BTW, a GUID is a globally unique ID, something totally different from UNIX GIDs.

Well it does matter which gid you use if you install new deamons that have a gid and you already created this gid yourself and now this daemon cant work properly.
