Hi
I wonder why xorg-server-1.4.2 ebuild asks for =x11-proto/printproto-1.0.3
and not >=x11-proto/printproto-1.0.3
Because I get :
Code:
!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:

x11-proto/printproto:0

  ('ebuild', '/', 'x11-proto/printproto-1.0.3', 'merge') pulled in by
    ('ebuild', '/', 'x11-base/xorg-server-1.4.2', 'merge')

  ('installed', '/', 'x11-proto/printproto-1.0.4', 'nomerge') pulled in by
    ('installed', '/', 'app-editors/nvu-1.0-r4', 'nomerge')
    ('installed', '/', 'x11-libs/libXp-1.0.0', 'nomerge')

I am on ~arch.
Thanx in advance.

I have the same problem. I got rid of the xprint USE flag and did an emerge -C printproto.
Since I wasn't actually using printproto for anything (Firefox still prints) this worked for me
