Hello,
I was just wondering, Can I use the exsisting kernel on the UNIVERSAL LIVE CD instead of compiling a new one?
The CD Kernal works just fine to boot my system, but in the Installation instructions I must configure the kernal in order to install it on the hard drive.
Is there a way to just take the CD's already compiled kernel and use it instead of compiling a whole new one?
Thanks

Yes, you can, but it would be a very limited kernel. It might cause conflicts or other kernel related problems. Why would you want to deny yourself the joy of setting up your own kernel? I recommend it to all my friends.
Blessed be!
