Hello,
I am using "livedvd-i686-installer-2008.0_beta2.iso" The computer boots up fine, but there are no drivers loaded for network card or hard drive. LSPCI shows me my hardware. when I tried to MODPROBE PCnet32 it cant find the module..
Heres the interesting thing, There is no /NET directory for /lib/modules/2.6.24-gentoo-r5/kernel/drivers/
So where are the network card drivers located?
Also I could not find anything for the SCSI drivers needed for my SCSI disks.

Weird thing is I dont see a LiveDVD link on Gentoo website. Perhaps I have obtained an unoficial copy of Genttoo. I am downloading directly off of Gentoo website right now...Perhaps that is my issue.
Thanks

Hi,
I remember hearing about some driver problems with the beta but I'm not sure what they were specifically. There is a new 2008 release out now, I'd try that instead.

No DVDs for these on this release so far.
