Graphics card: Nvidia FX5900XT
I am using the livecd installer 2008.0 amd64.
The installation stucks with the message "switching to OpenGL interface" .

This happened to me also. Using Ctrl+F12 I could see the syslog spitting out input/output and squashfs errors like mad. Turns out it was a bad burn. You might want to check the disk. md5sum /dev/sr0

Md5sum is correct.
I have used a DVD+RW medium to burn the iso image. |
