So, I'm having issues with my hotkeys staying "bound". I boot into Gnome, find that the keys are still listed there "XF86AudioMute, XF86AUdioLowerVolume" which is correct, but they don't work. If I rebind them then they work...until I stop X (i.e. logout, reboot) after which they still say they are bound, but in truth they are not. Any ideas? This is starting to slowly drive me crazy...

Ideas?

Would a reinstall fix the issue?
