What is one supposed to re-emerge after seeing the following:
Code: | # emerge =www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0-r1 --oneshot
(...)
!!! existing preserved libs:
>>> package: www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0-r1
* - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/libgtkembedmoz.so
* - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/libmozjs.so
* - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/libxpcom.so
* - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/libxpcom_core.so
Use emerge @preserved-rebuild to rebuild packages using these libraries
thinkpad software # emerge @preserved-rebuild

Well, either re-emerge firefox with xulrunner useflag or,
if you already did that check your packages for firefox useflag and re-emerge those having it with xulrunner. |

Im starting with this:
!!! existing preserved libs:
>>> package: www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0-r1
* - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/libgtkembedmoz.so
* - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/libxpcom.so
* - /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/libxpcom_core.so
Use emerge @preserved-rebuild to rebuild packages using these libraries
but when I try this:
emerge @preserved-rebuild

[ebuild UD] www-client/mozilla-firefox-2.0.0.11 [3.0-r1] USE="-debug% -filepicker% -moznopango% -xforms% -xinerama% -xprint%" LINGUAS="-bg%"
[ebuild R ] gnome-extra/yelp-2.22.1-r1
[ebuild R ] www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0-r1
[ebuild R ] dev-python/gnome-python-extras-2.19.1-r2
!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:
www-client/mozilla-firefox:0
('ebuild', '/', 'www-client/mozilla-firefox-2.0.0.11', 'merge') pulled in by
('ebuild', '/', 'dev-python/gnome-python-extras-2.19.1-r2', 'merge')
@preserved-rebuild
('ebuild', '/', 'www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0-r1', 'merge') pulled in by
@preserved-rebuild |

I don't think you are.
dev-python/gnome-python-extras has xulrunner useflag.
Maybe @preserved-rebuild simply doesn't set new useflags.
Try 'emerge -1pv dev-python/gnome-python-extras' and if it won't print it wants firefox 2,
then simply do emerge it that way. |
