|
|
Hi people, I need to create a mailing list inside an OpenLDAP, which works as a backend for Postfix. After googling a while, I found out that slapd.conf supports a configuration named overlays (in fact, the official documentation talks about it), and it's also mentioned in the slapd.conf's manual saying that the "dynlist" overlay is used to dynamically create a list with all users in the LDAP database. Now, I still don't understand how to implement this in a production environment.
I didn't find something useful yet, that's why I'm posting this here.
My server is a Gentoo Linux 2007.0, with:
Quote: | mailgdm1 ~ # equery l openldap
[ Searching for package 'openldap' in all categories among: ]
* installed packages
[I--] [ ] net-nds/openldap-2.3.41 (0)
mailgdm1 ~ # equery l postfix
[ Searching for package 'postfix' in all categories among: ]
* installed packages
[I--] [ ] mail-mta/postfix-2.4.6-r2 (0) |
I really would appreciate any hint about all this.
Thanks,
Paul. _________________ If it moves, it needs an ebuild.

Heloo...
I use postfix + ldap, but for list management i use mailman.
in postfix site has many List managers
http://www.postfix.com/addon.html
maybe with workaround you could create a mail aliases and redirect for users.. |

Well, this is for an enterprise LAN, so, the idea is that employees (specially those working in Human Resources) could mail the entire list just clicking a single contact in their address book, which would comprise all employees listed in OpenLDAP at the moment. That's why i'm looking for a solution LDAP based.
How could i do that with something like mailman? _________________ If it moves, it needs an ebuild.
