I'm using the awesome window manager, and am trying to set up amazing for the network traffic.
I have it set up in awesome, but I want a space before the upspeed, and after the downspeed.
I know I can set up an emptybox before and after it, but there has to be a way to do it in the config.rb file for amazing.
Here's the widget code: | Code: | widget("eth") {
set :module => :net_traffic
property("text") { "%3d^v%3d" %[@upload_rate, @download_rate] }
set :interval => 0.5
} |
In the property line there's got to be a way to put some variable that will do the blank line without making it bounce when the numbers change.
I'm a touch out of my depth here.

Nope, no ebuilds, but you can get a package from http://amazing.rubyforge.org/.
I actually switched to another one that I liked better.
It's called awesome-status. (Sorry, can't remember where I found that one.)

Yeah, I know these repos, but i'm not strong in writing ebuilds. Just want to make it in gentoo-way.
