Counter Strike Source crashes only in widescreen modes

Just wondered if anybody had come across the issue of CS:S crashing while in any 16:9 and 16:10 resolutions? Mine is, but runs fine in 1280:1024 and below. Didn't see any posts in this forum about it so I thought I would post and ask. Thanks in advance.

It is wine 1.0.0 on Gentoo 2008.0 Kernel 2.6.25.10.

EDIT: And the latest Nvidia drivers (173.14.09).

Does your xorg.conf have the widescreen resolutions in it?

No, is that required? My desktop and all other games (Doom3, Quake 3 Arena) are all in widescreen without Xorg.conf file specifying it. The Gentoo widescreen howto specifies that with newer drivers, having to specify widescreen in Xorg.conf is not necessary.

That didn't seem to have an affect. If I figure it out ever I will post the solution here.
