Hi !
Yesterday, after reboot I can NOT run my system properly. I don't know why, becasuse before reebot I did NOT change anything. During starting it looks everything fine to the moment I can see:
Quote: | .....
>> Activating mdev
ls: :No such file or directory
..... |
After this I cold see some errors - and when the system is running, after loggin in I have:
[1] Just one partition active / (in read olny). Another my partition are unmounted. After mannually mounted (/usr /tmp /var /opt /home) system works, but I can NOT run properlly lots of the programs.
[2] Even after mannually mounting rest of partitions df --si show me only one partition active. What happed with the rest?
Code: | (none) # df --si
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs 486M 110M 352M 24% /
/dev/hda3 486M 110M 352M 24% /
udev 11M 205k 11M 2% /dev |
My question - how to fix it? Or maybe should I format hard drive and install system again?
Bellow my /etc/mtab
Code: | rootfs / rootfs rw 0 0
/dev/hda3 / ext3 rw,noatime,data=ordered 0 0
none /proc proc rw 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec 0 0
udev /dev tmpfs rw,nosuid 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts rw,nosuid,noexec 0 0
none /proc/bus/usb usbfs rw 0 0 |

Can you post the output of "emerge --info" please.
Does "ls" work on the command line? If not, try running "hash -r" then trying again.
Did you install, uninstall or upgrade any packages recently? If so, which ones? (/var/log/emerge.log may help you here) |

I think after moving from baselayout-1 into baselayout-2 (which is masked for AMD64) my system started to have some problems. After this genkernel started to generate 10 times biger files for kernel, traditional way the same - so...
I instaled a new system again - I did not have a time to wait for an answer on genkernel buglist... |
