Ciao!
Ho un terribile problema che riveste l'aggiornamento e le librerie qt...
Ho inserito le varie cose su: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232065
ma la parte principale è questa...

dev-python/PyQT4 richiede esplicitamente

mentre net-wireless/wpa-supplicant richiede un più generico

Probabilmente tu avrai smascherato l'impossibile per utilizzare la versione HARDMASKED di qt, ovvero la 4.4.0, che viene scelta come dipendenza da net-wireless/wpa-supplicant, mentre dev-python/PyQT4 una versione 4.3 di Qt, e queste due versioni di Qt non possono convivere.
Soluzione: rimaschera di nuovo qt-4.4.0 
Molto probabilmente ti chiuderanno il bug come INVALID.

Ciao, grazie per il consiglio che mi ha aiutato a risolvere...
hai ragione, avevo smascherato l'impossibile per installare qt 4.4 e Kde4. Ora ho ripristinato la mascheratura togliendo i vari pacchetti da package.unmask e package.keywords e con un po' di pazienza, cancellando i pacchetti residuali, ho rimesso apposto tutto in modo che l'aggiornamento globale termini completamente senza errori.
Ad ogni caso chissà perché gli sviluppatori di gentoo hanno ritenuto questi due importanti software ancora non stabili...?
