Hi, today I received an error from paludis, when trying to update my system:
Code: |
* All versions of 'media-video/gqcam' are masked. Candidates are:
* media-video/gqcam-0.9:0::gentoo: Masked by repository (/usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: Samuli Suominen <drac@gentoo.org> (27 Apr 2008) Spring clean unported GTK+-1.2 media applications. Tracked in bug 214788. iv - replacements: gqview, mirage, pornview gqcam - replacements: camorama, cheese gtkguitune - replacement: k3guitune playspc_gtk - replacement: playspc)
|
The problem is that both camorama and cheese pull half of gnome into my system (and there is no use flag to disable this). What should I do? |

That bothered me, too, because I'm a (primary) KDE user... but I finally just broke down and installed camorama because I felt I had no choice, and it seemed the total amount of stuff it installed wasn't very much. Unless you have a severely limited disk it shouldn't be a problem (except in principle )
