Hi all,
i played around with my mythbox and need to reinstall it.
I´d like to use the nes Gentoo 2008.0-r1 i686 LiveCD.
Sadly my system hangs during boot.
After the message: "Uncompressing Linux... ok, booting the Kernel." I get this errormessage:
BUG: Int 6: CR2 00000000
EDI 00000000 ESI 00001000 EBP c068cf64 ESP c068cf3c

and so on ...
Does anybody know, how i make my system booting this Live CD?
Many thanks in advance,

By the way, in installed this system in 2006. Booting with the Gentoo 2006.0 i686 CD´s was no problem.
But i like to use the actual versions now. |

The version of the stage3 tarball that you use determines how new of a Gentoo installation you are starting out with.
The version of the CD that you boot from to do the installation does not matter. In fact, the CD you use can be from some other distro (Knoppix, Ubuntu, etc.), it does not need to be a Gentoo CD. |
