Im kinda new to wireless on gentoo so I have a question.

Is there a way to list the wireless networks that I am around? or is this not possible once again not very experience with this subject please educate me.

Hi, yes, you need to have your wifi driver properly installed and then you can run this command :

Code:

# iwlist scan


Iwlist is part of wireless-tools package.

By the way, what kind of Wifi card do you have ?

Thanks I try that out it should test whether I configured my broadcom card properly.
