Dear List,

I ran emerge --update --deep --world yesterday and now my DHCP server of choice, dnsmasq, seems to have stopped handing out IPs over wireless while still working for wired connections. I operate a headless router/wireless bridge that is wired to several windows boxes via a hardware switch and supports several laptops and a PS3 wirelessly.

My laptop when trying to connect gets as far starting wpa_supplicant, connecting to the wireless network, but times out when running dhcpd. The same happens to my neighbour who lives up stairs and steals my internet.

/etc/dnsmasq.conf is still there and looks the same as before the update

I ran etc-update after the update and I don't think I borked any thing.

Can you help?

Robin
