Hello,
I just completed an install of 2008.0 on a Dell Latitude D810 laptop with an Intel wireless card. During the install it was picked up fine. I went through all of the normal steps via the quick install guide, but when I boot up I get:
"device eth1 does not exist"
Any ideas what is going on here? It was "eth1" during the install and I created a "net.eth1" in /etc/init.d via symlink to "net.lo" and set it to boot on startup. It worked fine during install, now booting in for the first time, nothing. _________________ VMware Fusion on a Mac running Gentoo

It could be eth0. Type iwconfig to see if your wireless shows up. Also see what you get when you enter ifconfig -a.
Blessed be!

IIRC, you also have to download the firmware. Try Code: | emerge -av ipw2200-firmware | , and make sure that the driver is either compiled in, or compiled as a module then loaded. _________________ Dririan, CCNA, ZCE |
