Very fine work. Good balance between overview and detail with easy to find links to get more info on topics of interest. The priority of topics going down the page is well laid out. You might consider including Abstracts for the GLEP's for many users like me that will have no clue till clicking on them to find out what they're about.

I'd love an article or series that collects and reviews links to 'How to bugs.gentoo.org for Gentoo Users' for intelligent, somewhat lazy, good-intentioned people who are pretty clueless about debugging and development. I'm confused by conflicting FAQ's and How-to's that assume development experience or seem more relevant to other projects than to gentoo. It would be great to have a handy collection of links to up-to-date guides like the Gentoo Sandbox Methodology And Troubleshooting document posted with Bugday info, how to strace, etc.

well, killerX seeing the GWN remembering people to not use the installer from livecd, instead clearly asking them to use the handbook wouldn't be bad.

Thanks for the mention of Peel Fresco Music Lounge in the newsletter Anant et. al. One of the viewers that came in even noticed a mismatched quote that was throwing a link off too..

If you drop through HK, feel free to check out our setup - the box in the back is gentoo / xen, but I switched over to a 2.6.25 kernel to try to get the video capture card working for the live streaming (er.. that bug is still open ), and of course, Open Source people get a discount on drinks.

You may want to advertise your Staffing Needs in the newsletter when new openings are posted or fulfilled. I learned about that page by accident. I do not think people that want to help Gentoo make sure to check it often. Maybe items from here should be advertised too.

Under the heading Gentoo News and 2008.0 Released! the emerge command is suggested with a -t flag (emerge -avtuD). I can not find the -t option in the man pages for emerge. Can anyone explain what -t does?

debugfs's undel command seems like a lot less work than this sleuthkit method.

(debugfs is ext2/ext3 only, so the sleuthkit method is still useful for the other supported filesystems)
