as topic says, is anyone experiencing call trace messages for the amd64 gentoo 2008.0 installcd??

have you tried with the 2008.0-r1 cd? If so you should probably report it as a bug. To work around it for now you should be able to install fine using something like the sysresccd which is based on gentoo anyway, but is updated more often and has a few more handy programs on.

yesterday I downloaded the ISO file again for the installcd,
after reading the july 8th post on the r1 release, but the iso file does not say it is r1
(the livecd does).
with that I got the call trace message, but the installcd is useable at that point,
no problems at all, and I was able to install gentoo last night. |
