There was an Exception received during the install that is outside of the normal install errors. This is a bad thing. The error was:
'ACCEPT_KEYWORDS' |

Uhhh, 1 question. What did you do to get that error in the first place ? Since I'm a noob when I see those words, thats usually used when you install a package using the emerge command ? Is that all the error message you got, if not, maybe you could print it here ? |

he installed using the installer, which always doesnt work. And nobody would never know what happened in there, if he used CLI probably he could be up en running by now
I hate that installer but i thought of making use of it once my skills and linux knowledge grows a little bit...i thought of customizing the installer to my specific gentoo box needs the way i want it.So instead of starting step one by one then i have a magic installer that asks for all options that i want...wouldnt it be great?
ive seen one guys on youtube he install gentoo automatically i guess by script or so, have anyone else tried this like to build a script that automate the installation of gentoo...except for the gentoo installer ofcoz.. _________________ ~x86

in my case, I use the installer CLI by typing installer-dialog and everything is fine. After the install I customize everything even the kernel and everything goes perfectly.
Unless its evident what type of installer he used cause I can't see it but was it the gtk+ or the CLI...I hate the gtk, I got some problems in the past like a compile failure for example. If thats the case, he can try the other one. |
