Hi, I am having trouble getting my new (untested) tv card to work, the lspci output is 02:09.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7130 Video Broadcast Decoder (rev 01) (1131:7130), it is a Sabrenet Pci tv tuner + fm, I found it (and live) in Canada (north american NTSC standard)

I installed xf86 v4l driver and did
modprobe saa7134 tuner=62 card=42
1 million time with different value for tuner (and tried few card too)

EDIT: I tried the VGA input with a DV cam and the card work, so it is really just a matter of tuner
EDIT2: IT WORK The card number was 47, I found it accidentally by tring random value of card and tuner, I had 1 change / 8211, I have beed really lucky!
So if you to bought this card (on tigerdirect of small shop, here is how to get it to work:
modprobe saa7134 tuner=2 card=47

The COMPOSITE and TELEVISION channal are switched, you have to change channal in television mode and watch in S-Vid/composite mode, see http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-hardware-18/sabrent-sbt-tvfm-7130-tv-card-433044/page2.html
EDIT3: I got no sound, so i reopen this problem

The card got an jack 1/8 output to connect in the line in of my motherboard, but i connected my ear phone in it and i dont even have sound there, whats wrong?

EDIT4: The audio is not in the same input... The sound is on television (mono) and image in Composite1... How to i merge them?

EDIT5: I wrote a (wroking) kernel patch, but I have to use my motherboard line in to get sound. How do I do that?

EDIT6: It was a bug the the gentoo-source of the kernel, back to 2.6.23 did the trick, I am recording right now from it [SOLDED] thanks for your help...
