|
|
I upgrade my system and afterwords I could not run compiz-fusions ccsm. I kept getting this message:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/ccsm", line 23, in <module>
import pygtk
ImportError: No module named pygtk
After running python-updater, it still did not fix the problem.
The problem is python-updater is not working correctly. So here is the fix:
There are 2 files missing: pygtk.pth and pygtk.py in /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/.
Instead there is pygtk-2.0.pth and pygtk-2.0.py. They need to renamed to pygtk.pth and pygtk.py.
Then re-install:
pygobject
pycairo
compizconfig-python

My /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages has symbolic links from pygtk.pth -> pygtk.pth-2.0 and pygtk.py -> pygtk.py-2.0. You can do them manually, reemerge of pygtk should be able to recreate them too. |
